Here are a few FAQ's that we are often asked.
What makes this band better than others?

How Long do they play for?
The band offer 2 sets of 45 minutes and an encore or two, but
can play for 2 x 60 minutes if specifically requested, that’s
over 2 hours of fantastic live music!
What PA does the band use?
The band hires a professional pa system and crew for every gig
that includes lights /smoke /microphones /PA /monitors and a sound
engineer.
What happens while they're not on stage?
The band is used to working with discos or other ensembles at
events, however music CDs/Mp3s/Ipods etc. can be played between
our sets and these can be provided by the band or by the client.
Is the band flexible?
The Moonshakers are well aware that every event is different to
the last. Because of this the band is willing to co-operate with
the client to fit perfectly into their event and specific needs.
How does the band look?
The band can tailor their look to suit your needs of your occasion.
They can dress in black clothes for your formal occasions and
for private parties and less formal events they can dress more
casual. Just specify to your agent what your requirements are.
Do the band have public liability insurance?
yes, each member of the band has at least £1,000,000 public
liability insurance.
Can I see the band before booking?
Yes, Contact the band and they can give you open to public gig
dates
How long do you take to set up?
The band can set up in an hour but realistically the band requires
1.5 hours to 2 hours to set up and sound check all equipment.
What time do you perform?
This is normally agreed prior to your event and is entirely up
to you the client. Most often the band will perform at weddings
at about 8:30pm after the first dance or after a few tracks if
you have a DJ... (most evenings at weddings tend to start at 8:00pm
but weddings VERY often go over time so the band can start when
required. (our advice is give your guests time to arrive, chat
and relax before expecting them to "fill the dance floor")
